I don’t regret my first love. I don’t regret anything I said, did, or hoped for. I don’t regret loving another human being completely and unconditionally. And neither should you.
Why do we put so much pressure on ourselves? Pressure to be popular, sexually appealing, to go to college, to start a family, to be “successful.” I often wonder how we withstand it all.
The point of this post is simply to say, the power of shifting your attitude when you aren’t so psyched about your situation is immeasurable.
You would never let Harry Styles walk this earth thinking his hair was not flawless any way he wears it just because some 12 year old Twitter user in Wisconsin is pissed that he cut off his man bun. Just like I will not stand for you thinking that you are not perfect and wonderful just the way you are.
People are quick to tell you who you are and who you’re not. And although you should take into consideration how other people view you, their views and opinions should not dictate your life, actions, or perception of yourself.
